7 days to the eventJul 22, 2026, 6:30 PM – 8:30 PMPatagonia Pittsburgh, 5509 Walnut St, Pittsburgh, PA 15232, USAStep into the wilderness as we celebrate the book release of Water Lines: A Life on Marshes, Rivers, Seas and in the Rain with Riverhorse Nakadate, Patagonia Fly-Fishing Ambassador, adventurer, musician, journalist, and environmentalist.
10 days to the eventJul 25, 2026, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PMSouth Side Public Boat Launch, Pittsburgh, PA 15203, USATour the Monongahela River on kayak and learn how to spot and report water pollution. Kayaks provided for those that RSVP!
22 days to the eventAug 06, 2026, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PMDark Hollow, Dark Hollow, Oakmont, PA, USAJoin us at Plum Creek in Dark Hollow to explore riparian pigments and what they can tell us about water quality. We will use art-based research methods to understand abstract scientific concepts by making paintings out of the surrounding colored materials such as leaves, bark, and rocks.
26 days to the eventAug 10, 2026, 6:00 PM – 7:00 PMMonongahela Area Library, 813 W Main St, Monongahela, PA 15063, USAJoin Three Rivers Waterkeeper at the Monongahela Area Library for a presentation on local source water quality data, watershed education, and tips on advocating for cleaner water. We will finish with a creative activity and a giveaway of water test kits and a limited amount of water filters.
