Colors of the River at Rocky Bend Nature Preserve

Join us at Raccoon Creek to explore riparian pigments and what they can tell us about water quality. We will use art-based research methods to understand abstract scientific concepts by making paintings out of the surrounding colored materials such as leaves, bark, and rocks.

Artistic skills or research experience are not required, only an open mind and clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. Bring a chair if you would prefer not to sit on the ground, and feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns.
