DRAVOSBURG
The main waterway in Dravosburg is the Monongahela River.

The Borough of Dravosburg was incorporated in 1903, and is characterized by a history of coal mining. John F. Dravo was a local leader in the coal industry and boat manufacturing - he would later serve as the first postmaster for Dravosburg in 1863. The few tributaries in Dravosburg are NOT considered ‘impaired’ by the PA Department of Environmental Protection. Only the northwest portion of the borough has been ‘undermined’, which means that industries excavated the underground resources. The close proximity to a major river and railroad line made the transportation of goods easier.

In case of an emergency (ex. major spill, threat to human and/or wildlife), call 911
