Lincoln
The main waterway in Lincoln is the Monongahela River.
The Borough of Lincoln, incorporated in 1958, is characterized by multiple small tributaries, industries, and Dead Man’s Hollow Conservation Area. Many, but not all, of the tributaries in Lincoln are considered ‘impaired’ by the PA Department of Environmental Protection due to high metal content from Acid Mine Drainage. Most of the area is ‘undermined’, which means that mine operations were historically active and industries excavated the underground resources such as coal. The close proximity to the Monongahela River and a major railroad line made the transportation of goods easier.

Pennsylvania Municipal Service, or PAMS, bills residents for sewage services. Bills are paid online and there are no affiliated customer assistance programs for financial assistance.

The ACCESS program is a door-to-door, advance reservation, shared–ride transportation program provided throughout Allegheny County and to destinations in adjoining counties within 1.5 miles of Allegheny County.

For an 85% discount on ACCESS fares for anyone aged 65 or over, call (412) 562-5353 and ask for the 65 Plus registration center nearest to you and its schedule. People with valid government-issued photo ID may apply through the mail.
